    Default Training Spots.

This thread will be used to inform the XII playing rabble of your favourite training spots in the game - accurately. The reason for this is because I, like everyone, sometimes wish I knew a good place where I could rack up a bitchin' combo and really rake in the munnehs. I think a layout like this would be most useful (I'll use the good old Lhusu Mines as an example):

    Level - 10 to 20

    Location: Lhusu Mines, Bhujerba
Description: The second bridge, full of skeletons.
Loot:: The most useful loot gained here is the Bones. Can't remember the proper name. They sell for 193, I think, and you can get them in large numbers. Add to that the other loot, like Dark Stones and Magicite. They sell for less, but still aren't to be scoffed at.
Highest Combo: Highest I got was 86.
Reason for training here: After getting a big combo, i.e. 40+, you'll probably be raking in the Bones. I usually left the Mines with around 50/60 each time which, when sold, left me with almost 10,000 gold. Also, the skeletons give out a fair amount of exp. so it's fairly easy leveling too.
Hints and Tips: It's fairly simple. Just hack your way through, rinse, and repeat. If you're nearer to the lower levels then I suggest you walk onto the bridge till one or two skeletons appear, let them target you, run off, and then attack. This will ensure you don't get swamped by enemies.

I guarantee I've missed something, so feel free to add your own sections, or to write your Spot up in whatever layout you like. That was just a simple guide. Also, don't hesitate to add extra information to whatever someone else has written.

Great idea. Don't have anything to contribute off-hand at the minute, but I second the Lhusu Mines as a good place to gain EXP and loot early in the game. Bones provide a lot of much needed cash early on.

    single player leveling...

go to the giza plains in the dry and fight the werewolves over and over again... really early

think about it. at the beginning, you have Vaan. you get 1200 xp. 6 party members total. 1200 x 6 = 7200 each. easy xp and easy kill.

Ozmone Plains, not sure which level but from the first time you go there and on, go to the far EAST to the second area before the Golmore Jungle entrance area. This area will have a south exit to the shred. It will be filled with large owl type creatures that spawn in succession both there and in the shred after you beat enkelados. Zone between to the 2 to make really high chains.

Also, Dalmasca Westersand. Ogir Yensa Sandsea - scale up on the large catwalk areas throughout this entire area and attack the small native sand people there. It's basically nothing but these creatures for miles as long as you don't dip into the sand. I've chained over 200 before getting bored here. The only other creatures are the odd tomato head looking things that you can avoid, and a Salamand Entite that you can maneuver around / escape from.

Once you're around level 35+ goto the Sochen Cave directly before old Archades and fight the big ogre looking creatures that will respawn throughout the shrine area. They are worth good EXP/LP and drop an awesome loot. Maggoty Flesh sells for over 450 gil if I recall and they drop it often. When chained they drop a LOT and sometimes even weapons / accessories you can sell for money.

Stillshrine of Miriam(sp?) (After you kill (SPOILER)Zeromus in his room)

Even though the (SPOILER)Zeromus is gone, the Skeletons continue to spawn in the room. Chaining these will make them drop lots of Blood-darkened bones, I was able to wrack up 99 of these in under 20 minutes along with lots of other things which resulted in well over 100,000 Gil for me.

I'm not really sure about a level range for this place, I was level 55 and the Skeletons didn't put up a fight at all.

I never really train in this game, only to gain gold, and usually at the latest place i've visited with the best chains.

I harvested one of the flesh drops from skeles in the stillshrine of miriam before heading back to mt. bur-omisace and Redmaws in the henne mines for their fangs. I think that's about it...

    FFXIV Character

I think you guys are a mind-reader since I was about to ask where I can level up me characters. They are the high 50's range. I am going to try to do a few more hunts. Did Diablos, might try and give Gilgamesh a try but I'd rather level first, especially since I want to get all the Espers as well. *got hooked on FFXII again*

Thanks in advance for the help. <3

I just found a really good training spot when I was on a hunt, my characters are around level 40.
If you go to Cerobi Steppe you can get loads of EXP and LP cause it's such a vast area and there's so many monsters, and the Sheild Wyrms there give like 4 LP and loooaaads of EXP everytime. Good for getting loot too.
