the best place to level up for me would be in the feywood when your level ranges to 20-40 because of chaining the mirrorknights...
they even drop mirror mails together with windslicer pinions and other stuf when the chain is high enough...
the 2 screens work best in the save crystal area because of the short distance and the save crystal is just there in case you're bored of chaining the buzzartz.

I missed the Zodiac Spear, so I went to the Henne Mines to try to get it from that chest. The side effect was that the Abysteels levelled me up to 90 from around 45.

The Vampyr Fangs they drop sell for good money, too.

For loot, I ran around the circular paths in the Westersand, killing those tomato guys. The Succulent Fruits are valuable at that stage of the game. Also in the Paramina Rift fighting the Skeletons yields a lot of Sturdy Bones.

Of course the best way to get money is to defeat the Behemoth King...

I always liked leveling in Tchita Uplands in level 30-40. From 40-60, I would level in Necrohol of Nabudeus

    Vaan - "Hey, you!"
Penelo - "Yeah, you! The one reading this sig at this very moment!"
Vaan - "Interested in playing FFXII International Zodiac Job system?"
Ashe - "But you have no knowledge of the Japanese language?"
    Fran - "....We could help...."
Balthier - "That's right, Fran! Just click on Crossblades' thread on the very bottom of this signature and it will show you all license grid translations, magicks and tecks locations, and other changes that were made!"
Basch - "Don't forget though. Swap Magic is needed to play this game if you don't own a japanese PS2."
Vaan - "Also remember that if you played the original, you'll have an easier time playing the international version. We hope you enjoy the International Zodiac Job System experience. See ya then!"

i liked training in the Nabreus Deadlands with one person, i mainly fought in the place where you get the medallion thingy.

Also when i was training to get my partys lv's high like 99 i just trained in the Henne Mines extension where all the absteels kept appearing its also a good way to get demon shields by chaining them

Behemoth King is located in the snowy fields (forgot what its called) and you're referring to the Henne Mines Extension, aren't you?
EOFF needs a resurgence to it's former glory.
