I am sorry, but this is hilarious. The story in VIII is ridiculous at best (generally very badly done) and the gameplay system is horrendously broken (once you understand it).

You play it because these things are so bad they make it fun, not because they're good.

I will second the other guy that Triple Triad is awesome, though.
You may feel the story is very bad, I know alot of people on this forum do, but alot of people also feel it was very good. If you want to list specifics, maybe we could get somewhere.
