International new game question..

Just starting playing FFX international for the 2nd time through. I am trying to beat those dark aeons. but whne u are starting a new game, some option pop up, in japanese, rite? what the heck are those things? i can't change the languange to english until Tidus arrives at the real world.. so umm.. what are those options?

the expert sphere grid (int) and the standard grid. the standard grid is the blue one while the expert grid is like a gold colour. the expert grid allows you to have (a lot!) more freedom when improving your characters, but i would still recommend the standard one

if you understood the standard grid and have been playing for a while, i recomend you use the international grid.

If you want to beat the Dark Aeons I strongly suggest you use the Standard Grid. It has more room for expansion compared to the expert by about 90 nodes. Arguments about having Break HP limit aside (for Sparta's sake let's not start that old chestnut again), the more room you have to increase your HP the better when it comes to the Dark Aeons.

This is gonna sound really stupid but.....
What is the international one?
and what is the Pal one?
I live in Ireland what do I have?

The International version of FFX has some additions over the NA (North American) version. It has Dark Aeons, a super hard boss called Penance, and the expert Sphere Grid. None of that is in the NA version.

PAL is a common format for DVD players and video game consoles in the British Isles. It's not compatable with NA. My guess is you have PAL.

I've never played the International version, so I tend to be stumped when people ask about them.
