    Moogle Apparel Prices!

Well I was talking to edczxcvbnm yesterday about stuff we bought on Black Friday and he seemed to think that $35 for a dress was very expensive! I don't think it is! So it got me thinking, how much are people willing to spend on clothes and why? ^_^

Casually shopping, I'd be willing to go up to:
    $20 on a top
    $45 on a dress
    $30 on jeans
    $20 on other pants
    $20 on a skirt
    $40 on a blazer/jacket
    $30 on shoes
    $40 on boots
    $20 on hat

Most of my clothes are cheaper than that, but if I found something I really liked that'd be a decent price. ^_^

One of my friends buys like $300 boots, and she cares a lot about brand and quality. She will only buy cashmere sweaters now. I don't really see the point in that! But it makes sense because she's graduating from an Ivy League university this year and she's already landed a really great job with a hugearse sign on bonus, so she'll be rich and can afford that stuff. It also makes me o_O; at how a lot of people in her circle care so much about stuff like that though, it almost feels like they look down on you if you're wearing cheap boots from Payless or something (which I am! ^_^ $15 kaching), and even more so if you are an adult in the working world. We're just college kids! >:O

Now, feel free to ramble on :mog:

Er...I spend alot of money when I go shopping. It's all expensive-ish stuff.
    I bought a hoody for $170 one, a hat for $70.
In one trip, I bought 1 pair of jeans, 2 tee shirts and it cost me near $300.

If a shirt costs more than $5, I probably won't buy it these days. I don't buy pants often, so those cost whatever the non-designer jeans in the department stores cost. Shoes, probably about $50-70. I don't spend a lot on clothes because I'm male and heterosexual, and thus I don't care.

    $10 on a top
$30 on a dress (unless it's for a very special occasion, like prom)
    $20 on jeans
$40 on other pants (but they have to be something really special)
$15 on a skirt. Any more and I could make it myself.
    $40 on a blazer/jacket
    $25 on shoes
    $30 on boots
    $0 on hat. I don't like hats.

I'm really cheap, and those are the very MOST I'd pay for stuff, unless the money is someone elses (and I don't like that person). I prefer the Salvation Army- I can get all sorts of unusual things there, I usually get a whole bag full for under $20!

shirts up to about £20, 10-15 is best, but I might pay £25 if I loved it...

Trousers..up to £50 if they were good fit, I keep my trousers ages, but usually get some for around £10/£20.

    Hoodie..£30/£40 i guess..

Shoes.. probably would pay up to £60 but around £30/£40 is best.

Pretty much, yeah. Most of the stuff I buy falls in the $10-$25 range, but every once in awhile I get something a lot more expensive. Like, I have boots that cost me $100, a dress that cost $80, etc. What's the point in shopping frugally if you're not gonna splurge every once in awhile?

Keep in mind, I live in Southern California where things are supposedly more expensive.

Casually shopping, I'd be willing to go up to:
    $27 on a T-shirt
    $35 on a blouse
    $60 on a dress
    $45 on jeans
    $40 on other pants
    $15 on a skirt
    $100 on a blazer/jacket
    $50 on shoes
    $20 on boots
    $0 on hat

The only thing I'll spent much money on is shoes, because I can't easily find ones that are comfy, tough, and aesthetically pleasing. My sneakers cost about £40/$80 and my DMs were about £55/$110, iirc. My Newrocks were £145/$290.

The whole question is moot for me though, because if I'm casually shopping, it's for movies, books, or videogames. Clothes are only ever purchased when necessary.

    No limit on hats, obviously.
