The reason we thought BSG would work so well was because the ENTIRE plot of BSG involves trying to figure out who the Cylons (mafia) are and trying to kill the Cylons before the Cylons kill the humans (citizens). Cylons of course, want nothing less than the annihilation of the entire human race.
On top of that you have Cylons who want to help the humans (Mafia usurper), a scientist who is helping the cylons (traitor) a President who can see into the future (Seer or Doctor), and a Commander who is in charge of the safety of the human race (cop).
It works very well for Mafia.
But we don't have to use it cause you all suck and are missing one of the greatest shows in recent TV history.
I like both the Futurama and colors idea.
Harry Potter would be really fun, but s'cool.
How about old school Cartoon Network characters?
