I'd have to ask you to reconsider, because I believe discussion using Mafia persona in PMs can add a very nice twist to the game. If I'm Pikachu and I PM Charzard using my Pikachu account saying that I am the doctor and we should team up, it's up to Charzard whether to trust me and up to myself (stupidity or otherwise) whether to decide to trust him enough to PM him in the first place. It is also within my power to lie to him, if I am actually Mafia, and simply say I am the doctor and lead him astray if he believes me. I think this will make the game much more interesting and there will be even more paranoia all around.

Of course, we would not be revealing in these PMs who we are outside of the game. I understand your reservations about discussing the game with instant messengers or using other forms of communication, but as long as we are playing our Mafia character I believe that communicating with each other should be allowed.
