I think what you're talking about is fine. Discussing the game as you would discuss what's happening in a tv show isn't what we're trying to avoid. We're trying to avoid people actively strategizing with each other outside the game. As in people PMing each other and going, "ok guys, this round we need to lynch Veevee because I'm pretty sure that they're Mafia. Also, Pikachu, protect me in the next round cause the Mafia is gonna come after me, ok?" or people revealing their roles to each other privately. The example you gave of people talking about the game outside the thread isn't a problem at all.

And we won't really know if people are going around the rule. We're just hoping that if it's against the rule, people won't try and break it.

You weren't too bad. You reminded me of Boris Johnson. A blundering, yet lovable and well-meaning old fool. All those years in boarding school have made you a bit too much of a peach, old chap.

I think the new rules sound fabulous and I am interested in trying them. I think it'll be a lot fairer for those who don't have an extensive social network at EoFF. If it sucks, okay, lesson learned, we'll do it another way next time. Variety is the spice of life.
