What's your party? (probably been done before but oh well)

My party is:

Zidane (obvious, but I'd have him in the party anyway because I love all his unconventional skills and his damage, also Detect+Steal= Love)

Amarant (This guy just impressed be loads as the game progressed, Chakra started out quite ordinary but after a while I became to rely on Amarant for healing and he turned out pretty well with it. Also, Countdown really helped out when I couldn't be assed to kill things, and now I have No Mercy... PURE PWNAGE FROM THE BACK ROW. Also Aura rocks.)

Quina (Blue Mage is my favorite job, and Quina is awesome. White Wind, Auto Life, absolutely wonderful. Also Level 5 Death really helped out earlier in the game hehe)

Freya (Dragoon is my second fave job, and Freya is also awesome. Jump was useful to avoid aoe attacks, and her Reis's Wind really, really useful. Her Dragon abilities are obscure but I like that, Cherry Blossom ftw)

Zidane: Steals, Theivery=9999 damage

Dagger: Heals, Summon magic

Steiner: Strength, high HP with strong attack, Shock

Freya: Some good magic, good attack, Dragons crest=9999

Usually I'll be terribly boring and go with Steiner, Garnet, Zidane and Vivi. Sometimes I'll swap Garnet for Quina or Steiner for Freya instead for a bit of variety. Rarely use Amarant or Eiko.

I like to use Zidane, Amarant, Freya, and either Eiko or Dagger, depending on abilities learned. I tend to use melee fighters and a healer. Add in Amarant's Chakra ability, and that Freya stays out of harm's way by being up in the air, and I'm happy with the party.

I go with the people on the cover of the four discs. They all turned out to be my favie faves! I have used Eiko and Amarant on other playthroughs, but only because I forced myself to. I can never bring myself to use Freya or Quina for some reason. I like them as characters just fine, but in battle they do not get my glittery checkmark of approval.

Once Freya has caught up in levels again and learned some abillities shes one the most useful out of everyone

Zidane for big physical damage (I'm too lazy to level Thievery), Steiner for Shock and big physical damage, Quina for 7-8k Frog Drop and some healing, and Freya for maxed Dragon Crest. Everyone has Auto-Haste and Auto-Regen, and to heal, I can just pull some big, flashy move.

Amarant... No Mercy << This was the best thing when fighting Kuja! This did 9999 damage to Kuja every time Amarants turn came up.
Everyone for me has Auto-Haste, Auto-Regen, and oter various things that I can't remember at the moment.

I have several parties, but the one I found that is just uber powerful is as follows:

Zidane: High Attack and Thievery
Freya: High Attack, Dragon Crest and Dragon Breath
Amarant: High Attack and No Mercy
Steiner: High Attack and Charge!

This party takes advantage of the FFVIII style of play. In FFVIII, you keep everyone at low HP and you can spam Limit Breaks to no end as long as they stayed alive. With this party, if everyone is at low HP then everyone except Steiner can use two attacks per round. Zidane, Freya and Amarant can make a strong move, and then Steiner can use Charge! and everyone on screen can attack. It's like everyone takes two turns per round. Nothing lives for very long, not even Ozma.
