I dunno, really. Maybe??? I first played the game when I was 10 and I grew really attached to Cloud. I'm 20 now and my feelings haven't changed, lol. But maybe that's because I'm a girl.
The theory fails to account for how the game received universal acclaim from gaming publications at the time. I'm not sure how many 13-year-old critics were writing at that time....
