Most people didn't know he'd died or didn't know him, but they knew Christmas. It's unfair, yes, but it's popularity.

I don't hate Christmas for a stupid award I hate her for the obvious fact that she's incredibly spammy and rarely contributes anything to a conversation/topic.
Plus Owen was rather well known and not just for being a good sig maker!
I mean other than this forum being slightly less spammy I dont miss Christmas or her antics at all!
As for Owen there was plenty to miss.
I'm not going to get into this, I'm not supposed to be making arguments so I'll just say this: I'm not hating on her, I don't know her either and have only seen her random posts and graphics. She may be popular to everyone else but she just isn't that known to me. I've got nothing against her.

I think a lot of Christmas' popularity comes from her awesome MSPaint skills and her weird portraits of various members.
That, and she is a lovely member (the ones that know her can agree with me) so what's the big deal? It's just a game*it's shot*
