Weird Sphere grid problem, Help needed

hey guys, i haven't played this game in over a year. I went to load up my game i left off and its weird, i go to the sphere grid and theres just a white ring in the middle with the characters names displayed around it. I tried zooming in with select and it didnt get to close in. when i select a character there only 2 options, move and use. it says says lvl 3 lock is blocking the way. but it says that for all characters. I remember a grid close up where you can see all the locked stuff and i dont see that anymore. anyone know whats up, im at the moonflow part.

1st of all, that... is... freakin hilarious
i never seen such bug...
but i'm quite possitive that its a bug bcoz i encountered sphere grid bugs myself like when you use a key and it wont UNlock.
what i did was restart everything..
but dont make any move yet, someone here might know how to fix it

heres the story of how I messed it up. Over a year ago I started playing on a relatives PS2 in Australia, but I used my memory card to save. Like I said before I haven't played in over a year. So I went out and baught a used copy for like $15 from Ebgames. but my save wouldn't show up, cause I forgot my cousin PS2 is pal, so is his game. So I had a Pal game save with a NTSC game, what to do, what to do. So I found countless tutorials on how to convert it, several hours later it loaded, but this is the problem that comes with it. lol. I know I shoulda mentioned that in the first place but I just wanted to see if there was a setting i had wrong or something before everyone looked to the gamesave conversion as the issue, Oh well looks like ima have to start from the beginning, thank you codebreaker.
But its still interesting eh?

I thought he looked like a Ken so I named him Ken. To be honest the name Tidus doesn't suit FF. its just titus with a D.
