Is the SNES version worth playing anymore?

Yeah, the GBA version definately has a nice retranslation. Though some things were taken out, like mentioned the Celes Beating, also the Scene with Celes at the beginning of the second half of the game is less meaningful (I wont' say what it is since you haven't played it), and of Course the Change of Bum Rush to Phantom Dance, and finally the final villian speach is a bit more Clique in the GBA version. Though other than that, the script changes were simply amazing.

My favorite one being the Random Gaurd and his thoughts on the cult of "Cefka".
