Generally speaking, the kind of people who figure out all this crap in games tend not to have hotlines to the media, or in fact anyone at all barring fansites. And yes, it does matter in fact - it set a new precident regarding information on the disc but inaccessable to the normal gamer.

No, seriously, stop talking bum. That's like saying that Squeenix should be prescient and know what happens on this forum when they release FFXIII. In actuality I wager they expected a few people would find it, share it on some obscure forums or whatever, and that would be that. Besides which, R* have MORE than enough in their games to stir up sufficient controversy without using methods like this. There's also the point that they have every right to make controversy over things that shouldn't be controversial.

Honestly, if they didn't see this coming, none of them belong in the video game industry to begin with.
