Snake wasn't Sony's mascot, MGS was made by Konami. MGS2 and MGS3 both came out on Xbox, and Snake is going to be in Super Smash Bros Brawl I think it is.

After 4's irritating FPS bits, irritating ghosts, irritating Nemesis-style villian, irritating combat and extremely irritating escort mission formula, I'm not that excited for SH5 personally. Shame, because 1, 2 and 3 are all gems, SH2 is one of my favourite games of all time. Frankly, after 4 I'm glad they handed over the rights. These new guys might restore my faith in the series.

And to whoever said it looks like it's taking a lot off the film, that's to be expected really. The film did well (I loved it) and there's a sequel in the works, they're bound to want to capitalise on that. As long as it's just a bit of reference here and there I'm not too worried.

I'll be much happier when I see how the combat system is going to work after the last one.
