Default TV Sound Is Messed Up

I was playing FF8 on my PS1. The sound was working perfectly and it was normal volume. Then, I went away to eat, and I went to shower, leaving FF8. I didn't pause it, I just left it. I came back like 1 hour later and the sound was like 'ZHHHHHHH', you know how it is when there is no picture, but the grey/white lines juust moving up and down? Yeah, that was the sound. I turned the game off and the sound was still there. I switched the TV off, unplugged the cable, and put it back. And the sound is still the same

Any ideas on what is wrong?

If it's coaxial, check to make sure you're on the right channel (3/4). If it's composite, try unplugging/replugging again, and also wiggling the cord where it plugs into your playstation. I have that problem with my PS2 a lot. If possible, try plugging into a different input, if your TV or DVD player has more than one set of composite inputs. Sure sounds like a simple loose connection somewhere.

Yeah, I fixed it. It was that little slide up button thing on my PS cable...

Thanks for the help anyway, Azar.
