1.) IX=VI-Amazing games in nearly every way
2.) V-Although story is crap, the gameplay makes up for it
3.) IV-The story is worth it, but the game can feel like a chore from time to time
4.) XII-Amazing pacing and gameplay, interesting story that is a bit difficult to follow, but crappy characters
5.) VIII-Good gamplay, mey characters, fun though.
6.) X-Okayish. Characters don't seem to be very original, I won't lie, I have seen these characters in the past. Story is okay, but very cliche. The sphere grid should be thrown out of the window, toasted, toasted again, eaten by dogs, have the dog poop burned, then defy the lies of physics by destroying the ashes of the dog poopp.
7.) VII-Gameplay was alright. Characters were crap (all underdeveloped). Okay plot. Generic music. Decent difficulty. Terrible translation. It felt like it needed a lot of work.
8.) III-Eh, okay. It isn't bad, it simply isn't enjoyable by the time it made it to the US
9.) I-Good, but still basic.
10.) II-It Star Wars. With swords. Nuff said.

XI I have yet to play and spin-offs were omitted.

I have played every game in the series except for XI. But I have only completed IV, V, VI, VIII, and X. The rest I'm still work-in-progress.

1. X - Amazing in every way, my favourite set of characters.
2. VIII - Story was great, made me emotional in places
3. VII - Haven't completed, but so far very strong in terms of gameplay and story.
4. VI - Sooo many characters to play with.
5. XII - Story is extremely confusing but it has one of the best graphics for the PS2 and battle system changed drastically.
6. IX - I'm still on Disc 2, im gona complete VII first.
7. IV - Not the best, but was extremely good nonetheless
8. V - Job System was fun, but the game didn't really succeed in other places.
9. I - The original, the game has obviously come a long way.
10. II - Mmm.
11. III - Don't know why, but I hated it. Onion kids? Somebody pass a barf bag!

The list isn't really set in stone I must admit. This is just my list based on how I am feeling right now...

1. FFXII - Oh so obvious
2. FFVIII - Crap characters, but great gameplay, story, and NPC characters
3. FFVI - Great story, main USEFUL characters, but dodgy summons. No point in using them.
4. FFTA - I occasionally switch this around with IV. TA has so much to mess around with, it's unbelievable. However, battling does get tiresome.
5. FFIV - Battling can be a pain, and too much gil seems worthless, but it's great in every other way.
6. FFIX - Only number 6 because it didn't make me think it was too memorable. Trance system needed to be worked on, but everything else was pretty good.
7. FFX - Good story, characters are okayish, buuuuut, too many FMV's, sphere grid sucks, and the story can drag from time to time. Blitzball kicks arse too may I add.
8. FFX-2 - Yes, the story infuriated me, but the battle system was great, which made me love the game. Shame it was too easy overall, apart from Via Infinito.
9. FFVII - I like the Turks and Sephiroth. That's about it. Oh, and parts of the story. Reason why it isn't any higher? Battle system was crap, main characters needed a bitchslap. Ending made me go - WTF?
10. FFV - Cute characters, but it certainly needed oomph in many areas. Redeeming feature? Job system > FFVII's Materia system.
11. FFIII - It was alright, but, eh, not something that particularly amazed me. It wasn't horrible, it was just OK.
12. FFVIIDC - Terribly depressing, gameplay bored the heck out of me. Would never buy this personally.
13. FFCC - Oh man, I totally regret going on this game. I hated everything.

Don't have XI, FFVIICC, BC, and FFI + II I haven't played enough of.

1. X/X2- My most played to death ones, know it inside out and love it to bits.
2. IX- My first FF, I love the style of this game, all the intertextuality in it and the characters all rock.
3. XI- Really in depth and rewarding, there are so many little things about this game I love.
4. XII- I thoroughly enjoyed it!
5. VI- Haven't finished it yet but I think it's really fun so far, the humour is good.
6. VII- Still haven't finished it, it's so hyped up I just feel less inclined to play it all the time.
7. VIII- Didn't get very far at all, I don't really connect with any of the characters so far :P... Seems slower to get going than the others.
8. III- Talking about the DS version, it was fun till I got stuck
9. I- Creating all the characters was cool.
10. IV- Slow starting...
11. V- Slower Starting...
12. II- Even slower starting...

Is that remake as in...theyre going to give it cruddy graphics like FFIV DS and FFIII DS had? Because if so, it's not much to look forward too - if they're remaking, giving it the full works then yipee! Otherwise, it's going to be another pointless rehash =D
