Thread: KH1 Level up trick?

    KH1 Level up trick?

In the Rock Titan battle in KHI, you gain 1 tech point (EXP) with every attack, right? It's possible to have Donald and Goofy set to always attack, so do that, have Sora jump up on the stands (negating the Rock Titans attacks) and let Donald and Goofy
attack away gaining infinite EXP. They can't deal the final blow to bosses, so no worries of ending the battle, and they revive themselves when knocked out.

Is this possible, or is this just wishful thinking?

I'm sure that would work but...

Consider this, lets say you need 64000 XP to level up. Thats 64000 hits, that would take forever. Your better off just leveling up normally.

Yea but you could, say, leave it up overnight or something. I'm just saying, it could work.

The idea is good, but there are better ways.

    1. Deflecting the Ice Titan's ice shards gives you about 50tech pts for every time you use Guard. And defeating him also gives XP as well.

    2. Defeating Sephiroth is an instant Level-up, no matter what level you are.

Consider this, lets say you need 64000 XP to level up.
Well, no. The XP needed to level up is always < 18000, since Sephiroth gives 18000xp and you instantly level up for beating him.

I just made up a random number. 18000 hits is still a lot of hits, especially considering the large amount of time Donald and Goofy would be dead.

Additionally, from 95-100, the difference between the proper minimum EXP thresholds is 90000. Sound familar? Yeah, that is because it is 18000*5. Therefore, your inequality statement is incorrect. It should be <=, meaning less than or equal to, not just less than.

EDIT: Why can't you people just do things the easy way instead of coming up with these hairbrained schemes?

Psh, I've got about six files w/ lvl 100 Sora, all done manually. I was just fighting the Titan and thought 'wow, that would be interesting, mebbe I share that wid my EoFF homies!!111111111111'

I honestly don't have that little patience to not level Sora up to lvl 100.

I thought the "Only Sora can deal killing blow" requirement was only active in Kingdom Hearts II... Or maybe that's just the "finishing move" requirement that was added.

In KH1, only Sora can deal the final hit to defeat a boss. Any move that did damage would work.

In KH2, Sora is the only one who can deal the final hit to a boss as well. However, regular attacks do not work. Finishers are probably the most commonly used, but Limits, Magic (except Magnet), Reaction Commands (that deal damage), and Horizontal Slash can also defeat a boss. Maybe Summons also work.

Basically, you simply can't use a regular keyblade attack to deliver the final blow to a boss in KH2.
