Default Final Fantasy and Star Wars reciprocate references?

Well, the obvious one is the Biggs and Wedge reference from many Final Fantasy games, connected to Biggs and Wedge from Star Wars. However, I noticed when my brother was playing Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic that 2 of the characters are named 'Revan' and 'Malak'. Is that a reference to the Final Fantasy Tactics characters 'Rafa' (Revan is the male form, Rafa is the female form of the name?) and 'Malak'?

    I dunno, just wondering.

I doubt it, I bet most American commercial game creators haven't even picked up an FF.

It's probably just a case of names getting used again.

Probably just a coincidence. Star Wars is considerably 'bigger' than Final Fantasy, so I doubt they'd feel the need to include references to the games just because the games references the movies.

In fact, made-up names recur in science fiction on a semi-regular basis - there are only so many ways to piece together random syllables into an ok-sounding name, after all.
