[spoilers]The thing about doing it when ron leaves is that it's very emotional and you're pretty certain he's through forever. Then the next part starts off with the usual rowling slowness, making harry's visit to godric's hollow all the more poignant firstly because it's highlighting how everyone harry loves leaves him, but also because it's the first actiony part after forever camps xD

I think if you do it when he gets hurt, the impact of 'holy crap, no more ron' doesn't have the time to sink in. People who haven't read the books will seriously be going 'what the hell?' etc etc etc. Leave the viewers on the lowest note you can so that they're desperate for things to get better.[/spoilers]

Smart move for everyone who stands to make money from this. I've seen all the movies so I'll probably see these as well. Part 2 is still the best.

Well, don't the books each get longer? They should at least break up the last one, if not the last two, for the sake of not having to cut so much story.

Sounds cool to me, I guess. I don't intend to read the books, but I like the movies.

The 6th book is shorter than the 4th or 5th one. I doubt there will be a problem compressing it into a 2 to 2 and a half hour movie.
