London Buses are a joke price wise. I settle by getting an Oyster Card but its still pricey. £20 a week but I can use all means of transport. Huzzah!

Normal fare is about 2.75$ or 1.75$ (with student/elderly discount). A month pass to use all the buses and the metro (subway) on the island is 36$ for students and like 67$ (or something like that) for regular fares.

    EDIT: Location: Montreal.

$2.25 for one zone. Same for the SkyTrain. I like that you can transfer your fare from one to the other. <3

All London Buses are 90p for whatever route on Oyster, which considering that Buses in my hometown are upwards of £5 return to the next town over is a revelation.

I'm in the Ottawa area and it costs $3. It costs a lot less if you use tickets though.

ugh, they raised the price by 25% now, so I'm boycotting it. unless it's raining or snowing outside or when it's very early in the morning, like tomorrow morning in example. I'm not very good at boycotting.

but when it's sunny and late I'm totally boycotting those mothersmurfers.

I prefer trains which is about $1.80, it was $1.20 two years ago or something.

What sucks is that it costs the same to go somewhere eight stations away as it does to go somewhere thats just one station away

What a con. Arriva weekly passes up here cost £14. Though I suppose that is for the whole of Wales and possibly the North West though.

I don't pay because my father is a bus driver and so I have a free bus pass.

A day pass in Vancouver is $8, but it's three zones. A three zone ticket is $4.50 so it can be a good deal, depending on your plans.

    Well...

The Milwaukee bus system is like 1.75$ each ride. I live in an outskirt town that has it's own metro soo~~~

1.75$ a ride, but I have a monthly bus pass that's 38$ a month. Basically I can ride all the buses in my towns bus system as many times as I want in the month written on my pass, then I can get a transfer to the milwaukee system for only 25cents.

It's really good and well funded. Most likely because most people here actually use the park & ride's to go to work instead of driving.

Town buses are free but I don't ride them anymore since I don't have to walk up the ridiculous hills from the dorm beyond. I just walk anywhere I want to go.

The buses that go around the Triangle (to Durham and Raleigh) are $2 to locations on the route. They used to do free transfers, but now they've eliminated that and make you pay $4 for a "regional day pass" if you want to transfer at the station. Ridiculous. I don't ride the bus anymore.

    Signature by rubah. I think.
