To get into Colchester (15-20 minute drive in a car) and back it costs £6.50-£6.75. It's smurfing ridiculous. This is why I never use public transport in the south unless I have to because they rip you off massively.

You guys have free buses? Wow. That's awesome.

I pay £35 a month for unlimited travel on Lothian Buses, which stop within a minute or two of walking from pretty much anywhere I'd ever need to go in Edinburgh. The two bus routes from my flat to the city both stop by 4-5 times every hour around my flat on a weekday, and 2-4 times per hour during the weekend. The bus from the city to my work, however, stops by every 3-5 minutes on weekdays, which is pretty awesome. Up to 20 buses per hour in that direction!

For rides within the city limits it's 14 SEK which would be a little over £1. If I want to go see my parents (who live a little more than an hour away by car), I think the fare is 75 SEK, approximately £6.

Before 2007, I was young enough for the "half" tickets, which are 60% of the price. The buses were also slightly cheaper then, so I got away with 8 SEK (63p) and 45 SEK (£3.59).

As a high school student I get a free bus pass at the start of every year. But if I forget it or lose it, or decide to catch a bus somewhere outside of a school day, it's $1.40 AUD for an hour pass. For adult's I believe it's $2.60 for an hour pass.

    Not bad.

I pay 685 NOK for an unlimited number of fares for one month. That's about 128 USD.

It depends on where I'm going, but when I used to go to school in the neighbour town I'd have to pay around 5 dollars, but that's also an adult ticket. It's a lot cheaper if you have a so-called "wildcard".

Hm it depends! Last time I got the bus it was 1€20 but probably now is 1€50 IF you buy the ticket on the bus (and it's just one trip so it'll end up being 1€50 since one place to another and others 1€50 to return from that place!)

However people buy large tickets outside the bus with 2 trips that cost 1€20!

My daily bus home is £1.85 for a child fare (because it's not a London bus), which I try and get cos the adult fare is double that and I'm supposed to pay that, but I can pass for 15.
Once I get to the edge of London the buses are free and I can travel to anywhere in the city for 50p (or £1 if I have to use the DLR on the other side of the city). Student Oyster card <3.

It costs between £1.80 and £2.20 for me to get the bus to work. I hate it. I also get the train after the bus. >_>

Overpriced England, I guess. Hoping to learn to drive, but that'll cost even more.
