I like a lot of black/power/viking/folk/avant garde metal - the more epic the better. Currently, I'd add these bands to your list:

I'm not really a fan of metal, but Metallica is a great band nonetheless. Also, what I've heard of Opeth's music was pretty good.

I don't listen to a lot of metal, but I like Dimmu Borgir, Children of bodom, Opeth and a few more. I see someone mentioned Powerglove. I can't say I've heard anything by them, but I listen to another video game inspired metal band, called Machinae Supremacy.
