The server the chat is hosted on suffered a hardware failure last night. The server itself has been replaced, but the provider has not yet restored the backups. (I'd love to restore my own backups, but since we won't have a user account until the real backups are restored...) Supposedly it'll be back within 24 hours, but who knows.
