Default What do you miss about your childhood?

I was talking with this girl I was friends with when I was eight or ten, it made me realise how much fun hiking and pretending to be adventurers and explorers and stuff like that was. I'd pack a bag of chips and bottles of juice for food in case we got stranded and well, I'd be happy for hours
It sounds so dorky and lame but I really miss that.

    ^_^
    I love you

I miss being a lot more optimistic of a person back in the past.

I miss missing out on all the news and things, theres always depressing and horrible things happening in the world but when we were really young we didnt have to hear about things like that:rolleyes2 No worries or stress either

If I was like Cloud I don't think I would have taken that test.
Changed to stop Jessweeee♪ from going insane. Is that better?

I miss my confidence. I kind of thought I was the shiz when I was little, and now I kind of dislike myself.

I miss how smart I was when I was little, and hard working at that!

And I miss being active. When I was young, I played two sports, rode my bike, ran around and roller bladed. I was so thin!

Let's see... sexual abuse from my father, emotional abuse from my mother, a family of alcoholics, constant bleak boredom, being bullied at school, being blamed for the bullying at school, being lonely, feeling hopeless, having less freedom, less independence, fewer things of all kinds, being less able to comprehend things...

Yeah I don't miss childhood, or any part of it.

Funny, I'm reading a book somewhat related to this topic at the moment (Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro if anybody was interested).

I suppose I miss being fairly naive and not being so cynical about things these days. I don't suppose naivety is a good trait, but it's certainly an easier one to live with. In more tangible terms, I suppose one of the things I miss most was being more active and having time for it. Playing football and riding my bike around North Wales. I think if I had a bike these days I'd really quite enjoy riding down the promenade by the sea when the weather picks up a bit. Perhaps I'll have to see about getting a bike. Suppose it might be useful to have for university.

The lack of responsibilities and abject laziness being more acceptable.

Being able to listen to the same album over and over again for years and not get bored with it in the slightest. This also applies to movies.

I don't miss my childhood from after the start of school. But being really young with no cares in the world was good.

Everything you said Sakura, except that I was never wise enough to bring food with me.

I felt loads smarter til I hit high school. The I realised that I wasn't really smart, the rest of my school were just idiots. And I had so much potential
