Meh, I'm fairly jaded to the stuff that comes out of a lot of reports concerning video games, especially anything that comes out of FOX in particular. Their journalistic merit is so far beneath par it's not even funny.

Oh no. Not this. There really isn't that much nudity in the scene at all. You see a buttocks. That's it. It's interesting how people are getting more riled up over the lesbian scene than the straight ones.

Oh my God, I wanted to hit the first brunette. SO BLOODY PATRONISING. SO BLOODY STUPID.
^ lol, video game violence has affecteds my brain.

The poor guy. He did his best. I've never seen a Fox news report before...now I get why some people are so critical of it.

I honestly don't think its a big deal.

    Also: Sexbox.

    SEXBOX.

"SE"XBOX not only encompasses one of the worst headlines I've ever heard but also the worst use of quotation marks I've seen in my life thus far.

Another example of the media having a go at computer games as a form of media that is supposedly immoral and causes and increase in anti-social behaviour and whatnot which, as always, slightly overlooks the other forms of media that put out equally graphic and immoral stuff without ever comparing the two. It's slightly ridiculous that some people are willing to swallow this stuff sometimes. "It makes being a parent a much harder job." Yeah, imagine that. You should look at what you're buying your kids before you give it to them.

A few things irritated me in particular the stereotype that anybody plays a computer game is a "grown man" or a "kid" was particularly funny. I also didn't like how, despite being told that it's a fairly complex relationship that's being built in before you can get the full graphic nudity of someone's backside, they seemed to view it as simply turning on the console and then sex appears. Thank goodness we've got people who've never played the damn game to tell us that.

Just copy pasted my post from lionhead forum.

I cant believe that a tv channel actually airs *** like this ? Jesus christ kids can download males with fish up their ass on the internet and they think a little bit of alien boobs and ass will hurt their kids ?

Jesus the day games will be treated as any other form of media wont be before hell has frozen over, it's just hard as a gamer to take that crazy women serious, only old people and parents who dont even bother getting into what their kids actually do in front of their computers or on their pc's will believe that crap.

Just the way the crazy women laughs at the other guy when he asks her if she played mass effect shows that she thinks games are for kids and not something any grown up people should waste their time one, even my dad plays game from time to time i think the last game he finnished was fahrenheit and he really didnt care for the nudity... It was done in a tastefull way and really is nothing compared to hardcore porn you can find on tv - being interviewed about a game you never even played is just pathetic but god that is the world we live in today.

Person 1 : What do you think of I am Legend ?
Person 2 : It sucked hard ass, it was too violent and the story sucked.
Person 1 : Where did you watch the movie ?
    Person 2 : I didnt.

Wow, this is wrong on so many levels.

Anyone who criticizes something without first experiencing it should not be allowed to even speak.

I laugh at the fact they forget to mention that to actually buy T or M rated games, you have to be of the appropriate age (or that was the impression I am under). No sales clerk in their right mind would sell a M-rated game to a 12 year-old.

Anyone found the study she quoted kinda funny? The fact that any adolescent male who has not had real sexual experience cannot tell the difference between what is on the TV and real life? I mean seriously, are the further generations that stupid? I was watching porn before I was sexually active and I found it hilarious how unrealistic and corny it can be.

I wish I could say "Oh well, nobody at home will really freak out over this exaggeration", but you know they are!

I own Mass Effect. It taught me that to get sex from Kaiden you must sit through days of dialogue and repeatedly flirt and tell him you like his hair, his boots, his lunchbox, his philosophical ideas of romantic space, his life story at "brain camp", and you want to know more, more, more, and then forever later he will finally give up the hanky panky. If anything, it showed me sex is a long excruciating process that I can't be bothered with.

I've never liked Fox News much anyway. I take most of what they say for a grain of salt, but at least their cast has some character to them, I guess.

I was going to pick up that point myself but I thought it pretty much spoke volumes of stupidity by itself. I think these days most people will watch porn or see sex in some other medium before they actually partake in it themselves and will be more than able to tell the difference between reality and fiction.

I saw that yesterday, and I'm still not sure whether it's more infuriating or more hilarious. It's certainly both. If Mass Effect were a movie, I think it probably could've slipped by with a PG-13, sex scene included. But it's Fox News, so what exactly can you expect? OUR YOUTH ARE CORRUPT.

Lol @ trying to protect 13-year-old boys from softcore sex. In a video game, of all things.

I would say these parents and FOX News reporters have a far harder time distinguishing between fiction and reality than their kids supposedly do.

Funny, if I spend hundreds of dollars for a game and the system and dedicate hours to play the game and get some 3-D ass, it's evil. But if I type the words porn in google I get thousands of perfectly less evil things now. Heh go figure.

After all these years, you'd think parents would actually realise that just like any other form of media, video games have rating systems too.

It'd be like a parent letting their 10-year-old child rent an MA15+ DVD, and then complaining that all DVD players are violent, immoral and sex driven machines. (Which is pretty much not far off from what is being said in the media about this crap anyway)

"... and so I close, realizing that perhaps the ending has not yet been written."
