I agree. I saw him in concert a little while back. Holy crap was he amazing. It was Les Claypool and His Fancy Band. They were all nuts. Fantastic concert. If you ever get the chance to see him. Do it. You'll regret it if you don't. My friend has pics of it on his myspace.

Les Claypool is one of the greatest underground artists ever. He's everywhere; I even saw his name in Xenosaga's credits (seriously!).
Still, almost nobody I know has heard of him or his work. It makes me sad.

I think Geddy Lee is a better bassist, though.

He's by far an awesome bassist, vocalist (in his own different way) and performer! Primus is my absolutely most favourite current band, and can't wait for any word on their next album. He's been in tonnes of other awesome group setups as well, including some of my favourites:
