It used Dark in the first round, and then one shot my characters one by one in the other rounds. I had forgotten about evade spells.

Have all best weapons and armor from Elfland, working on acquiring the rest of the level 3 spells for my two mages. Need to buy FIR2 and LIT2 yet for ZAP! (my RM, who just acquired CUR2), and need to buy LIT2 for NUKE (I hate my BM's name, it's so cliche. but FIR3 doesn't roll off the tongue quite as well.)
I'm chilling in the Chaos Shrine and grinding out the last levels up to 90. I think I'm somewhere around 60 right now, maybe higher. I tried completing Kraken's optional dungeon and got through to the 20th floor where Omega and Shinryu both totally ate my 4 Ninja party alive.
Level 45, just gotten the whatever it's called water from the fairy, looking for what to do next. I should go find the Fiend of water but I haven't got the faintest idea about where to look. Pictures soon.
Go to Onrac, it's on the north-western continent near to where you bought the Fairy Bottle. In the bottom-right part of the town you'll find a person next to a sub. Talk to them to proceed.

Edit: Oh, and does the "*Bzzzt* Gi...ga..." robot thingy get explained later in the game? Or is it one of those things you're just supposed to silently accept and not ask anything about?

bought all my stuff from Elfland (still require Level 4 Magic other than FAST, but that also requires cash that I don't have). dominated the Marsh Cave and Astos. went to Matoya's and talked to a broom.

I would actually like to play this game. Can I buy it on it's own or do I have to buy the Origins with FF1 and 2?
Not too late at all, we still have half a month left.
If you wanted to purchase it, you'd probably have to go for: PS1 Origins, GBA Dawn of Souls, or PSP FFI Anniversary, unless you have an NES and could find a cart.
You could always emulate one of the above, though.
