Haha, Paul is my real name too. Good luck!

I'm going to try to grind to 45 tomorrow, and will hopefully have photos of that and the fight against Chaos!

Well, after a tough day at school, I finally had the time to sit back and play. Here are my beginner stats:

After a quick five minute play, Garland got his ass handed to him. And so, my journey begins...

After that I quickly leveled up and challenged Bikke and his matees.

Four against nine!? That's not fair...

    You were only with nine...

At the moment I'm grinding near ElfLand for G and exp. I'll keep you updated.

UPDATE: I managed to get through part of the Marsh Cave without being hurt too much. The dreaded scorpions were much easier than I can remember. Only the Scum were a little difficult, seeing as how they are only susceptible to magic and critical hits.

I also paid a visit to the dwarves (Lali-ho!!). Apparently, they are more stupid then they look.

O RLY now?? Then how come I'm stealing your treasure right under your noses without you knowing it?

I'm also stocking on HEAL and PURE potions. They are essential for my second trip into the Marsh Cave.

Pushing the A button this many times sure took a long time. Oh well, it was worth it.

With all preparations complete, I head out for a second time. Onto adventure!!

After a long time of not playing, I've decided to give off on Omega and Shinryu for now and go after the last bonus dungeon.

Edit: Right, so got down to Death Gaze, he eats my soul, so I'll probably just give up and go try and kill Chaos this time.

    Here's my progress so far:

I feel that it's not very good at telling where to go next. I find myself wandering around until I bump into something that's part of the story.

I'm at the elf village now, staring in shock at the price of everything. I bought a few things but only cause I won 5000 gil from getting second place on that number game on the ship

If you need any help on where to go next, you could always ask. This part of the game is actually quite linear, but the second half is where people tend to get lost quite a lot. (At least I did)

Also, I've beaten Astos. The marsh cave was peace of cake after all.

Also, why aren't there any phoenix downs and why I can't I restore the MP for my mages?

Well, it looks like you are playing origins. I don't know a lot about that version, but I'm fairly sure sooner or later you'll stumble across some Phoenix Downs. I think it simply makes going to the clinnic more obligatory, so that they are not completely useless. As for MP restoration, I don't think it's possible to do that without an Inn or a House, but I'm not too sure about that one.

The original game was supposed to be like that, that's why it's so much harder. You need to go to towns to resurrect your characters, to save and to rest.
If you want things easier, emulate the GBA version or get the PSP version.

Or you can be a man and leave them dead.

...but let them live and you have four times the power.

After some trading, I acquired the mystic key.

    I feel so... mystified.

I'm going to buy another load of potions, and I think that I'm going to sign off for today.

Is there a single Black Belt in a party that hasn't been named Unne?
There is no signature here. Move along.

I didn't play much today, but I managed to complete the Earth Cave. I should've trained more before attempting this dungeon, as I got scared everytime I encountered some Cockatrices (didn't think of bringing Soft potions, luckily I didn't get petrified), and I'd often get into situations like the one below.

So yeah, I was lucky I didn't had to restart every single time. Having an all-fighter party certainly has its advantages.

The vampire was a real whimp. I took him down with Paul before he even got a single shot at me. The same goes for Lich. He had a pretty powerful ICE2 spell (120 dmg!!) but I took him down in round 2. Pitty. Oh well, now I've got my first Orb lightened.

    YAY!!

    Mine wasn't named Unne!

Also I am a horrible liar for what I said about providing photos. Please forgive me, EoFF. My camera is misbehaving, but that is no excuse.
