Simply hold X and tap O (the other way around if your playing on the japenese version)

Anyway I just barely and I mean just BARELY beat lich his ice2 spell was a pain plus the encounters in the earth cave wernt exactly feeling merciful today.

They really stretched out the boat when it came to Instant Death Spells That Never Bloody Work (tm) in the early FF's. 1 has six and 2 has five.

Yeah, it's really rare, but it's even possible for status and instant death attacks to hit you when you're wearing a ribbon.

You got killed by Kraken? Kraken? That doesn't suck, it's just plain embarrassing. Must I get out the Kraken Vs. a squirrel with a wet piece of spaghetti picture?

He was hitting my characters for 8 hits 300 damage each round and they were only doing like 50 damage with swords (with Haste). Cure3 was only 100 healed so you do the math there. I'm not doing class change so I don't have Bolt3 or Invis2. I never had problems with him before because I always used a balanced setup so I didn't bother with any detailed strategy. Mistake.

EDIT: Yeah, Invis1 + Defender = No contest. Need to remember that for the later battles. 3 crystal down!

Actually, Marilith was easy, but Lich was harder that I thought. A few levels more (2 or 3) sometimes can make the difference. Indeed, the only thing that's disappointed me so far in the PSP version is how freakin' easy it is. I've played the NES version for a while and the Origins version almost until the end... who knows where my savefile is now and this one is hardly a challenge.

Edit: OK, I shouldn't have said that...
