It's my contention that every time a woman says 'I know the perfect woman for you' to me, she has no intention of hooking me up. This has proven to be true. I was supposed to meet this girl who is a friend of a colleague. Years later and all I can tell you is that we made small talk on the phone and joked a bit one time after work when she called my colleague.

My old man introduced one of his friends to his sister. They got married. Then they got divorced. I don't know if my dad feels bad about it or not, though, but that's the kind of outcome that prevents me from playing matchmaker.

Everyone has been saying that they're scared of the outcome and thats why they dont set people up.

But when you think about it, its not your fault they broke up. Relationships fail all the time. Yea its too bad it didnt last, but they got to be in a relationship that maybe they never thought they would get to be in. I wouldnt be scared to put friends together because i'd know that after they go on their first date, its not up to me what happens, i digress. And thats just the way it is.
