    Default Um... Help again? "Ineffective"

Hi there, sorry but I'm having quite a bit of trouble this time, and it's a bigger problem than before.

For reference, I'm playing the NES version.

After that little run-in with attacking my own characters (see the other thread "Crucifix?") I fixed everyone's status effects and equipped Firion (or whatever his name is, sorry) with the mithril sword he had before. Well, ever since that not one of his attacks ISN'T "infeffective", even when I unequip / equip him again. It's really becoming a problem, and I can't see a possible reason why this would be happing.

Can anyone offer up an explanation? thanks!

For the record are you having him target the same enemies as the rest of your party, but Firion being slow and getting his shot in at the end?

That would be my first explanation.

Nope-- whether attacking himself or an enemy no one else has targeted, the result is still the same. I'm starting to think it's a glitch in the game that I hope fixes itself...

is he in the front row instead of the back? Dying and maybe some other statuses will move your characters around in rows.

Can I have your children Rubah?

I was hoping it would be something so simple that I was overlooking.
Read this thread just in time to fight the Red Soul, too! I was wondering what the heck I was going to do.

Thanks to both of you guys for helping me out, again.

Ah geez I forgot the back row was so screwy in FF II. I always just elft my party up front and smashed everything to pieces.
