I heard Suda 51 made plans for a sequel before the original No More Heroes came stateside.

I believe he stated in an interview somewhere that he'd like to continue the story somehow. But he may not get the chance, since the first game sold terribly in Japan. It remains to be seen how it'll do in the West.

I think it's pretty crazy that it didn't do well over in Japan but seems to be meeting some success here in America (if current reports are correct). Totally seems like it should be the other way around.

Europeans, hopefully. :P Europe is getting the same version as Japan, but they're hoping it does even better there than it's doing here.
