    Default PS1 saves on PS3

Is there any way to transfer PS1 saves onto a PS3 without a PS1 memory card reader? I do have a PS2 memory card reader, but it doesn't appear to do me much good.

Will this work? Moving a PS1 save onto a PS2 memory card (using a PS2), and then have my PS2 memory card reader read that memory card and then moving that PS1 file over to my internal PS1 memory card? I'd check myself, but I don't have a PS2, which I'd need to move the PS1 save.

edit: yep, that worked! Thank you, EoFF, I don't know what I would do without you.

Whoa. I never knew you could put PS1 saves on PS2 cards to begin with. Useful information if/when I get a PS3 myself :] Good show

Yup yup, you can move them to a PS2 memory card, but you can't load the save directly from there. You'll have to move it back to a PS1 memory card (or an internal PS1 memory card on PS3) to actually be able to use it. Before the PS3 entered the picture it was a great place to storage PS1 saves. :] My silly PS1 memory card only has 16 kb, or something.

Oh.. so its just for back-up? Like it wouldn't work playing a PS1 game on a PS2 with a PS2 memory card? Or is this just a PS3 issue

What is that, exactly? An accessory for the PS3? Or does it come as standard?

Amazon.com: PlayStation 3 Memory Card Adaptor: Video Games

Extra accessory. If you don't intend to be using your PS2 anymore after that, it may be better to borrow it from someone else or rent it if possible since it'll be a one-time transfer.

It's also possible to download them onto an SD card or USB drive or something and copy it over from there, but it has to be in the PS3's specific emulator save type. Gamefaqs.com has some gamesaves like that. I've used it on a couple of rented PS2 games where I played them for a while, then just wanted to skip to the ending
