With characters from multiple Final Fantasy games, there's certainly a potential for a really nice collection of remixed tunes. Even the battle themes from the main Final Fantasy games would be a good start.
Not sure how much work they'll put into the soundtrack of a portable game, though.
I think that there will be a moderate amount of effort surrounding the soundtrack of this game similar to Super Smash Bros. Melee. If the game is successful, we may see a sequel with efforts similar to that of Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
