I think they want to see a non town faction win. The cult could over take the whole remaining town and take out the mafia during day time voting and stuff. I think it is just anti town but not really pro mafia.
You will see when all the roles are revealed.
We also wanted to give the SK a chance.
The town has power. It's just made some bad lynch choices and got unlucky with the night kills. It's like last time. People said it was unbalanced but the mafia were just bad. When you get outkilled by a vigilante, you're playing badly!
Besides, Scrambler is sort of the town equivalent to Beloved Princess. The mafia and cult are looking for power roles, right? Pow. All evidence they've accumulated gets wiped.

Cult seem to have a strong chance at winning this imo...you never know. But as always, I'm rooting for town.
