A: Only if you're feeling suicidal.
Auron has to activate his Overdrive, which wipes out all the Sinscales leaving Ammes. He can only use Demi, which at worst case scenario will bring you down to 3HP. After that, Demi has no effect. But, if you get Tidus or Auron to attack themselves repeatedly, then, you can die. So, the Boss can't kill you, but you can certainly kill yourself.
