Quick Question, how is it that no one could see just who fired the nukes?

I mean come on, we can see ones car plates from a satellite, HOW do we not know who fired the Nukes?

Also, aren't we all going to die from the massive radiation leakage anyway, thus killing the whole point of finding out who did it, as we are about to die anyway?

In addition, aren't they killing themselves off as well by releasing all this radiation? I mean really, how stupid are these people? :P
