I knew that tor meant mountain. The archaic language adds a nice flavor to the game but it's going to be hard for me to switch to using the new translation as I've used the old one for years now.
Actually, a lot of the names have been changed to German.
Tor = mountain
Wald = Forest

Yeah I have the U.S. strat guide for the PSP version and it uses those names.
That's ridiculous! If they were going for the old archaic, medieval feel, German shouldn't be what they turn to. This is outrageous! Get your coat, dear, we're leaving!

Actually German is closer to Old English (the language spoken in the early Middle Ages) than modern English is. With this in mind, I do believe it's perfectly acceptable.
