Appearing in 1, no wait 2 others- It's a stone that holds espers right? FF IX and VII have summon stones and materia so that kinda works except I don't know if other games had summoning stones too.

That big crystal thingy after fighting an esper is magicite isn't it?And famfrit was made through nethicite..so it's not a totally dumb answer
