    It's all about Clasko.

Return to Mushroom Rock Road after the first mission there to speak to Clasko again. Get him aboard the Celcius.

In Chapter 2, he can help with a mission in Mi'ihen Highroad. Go back after finishing it to get Clasko onboard again.

Go to the Calm Lands and go to the eastern cavern. Defeat the monsters to open up the Chocobo Ranch. He'll give you some Gysahl Greens.

Now go out feed 'em to the chocobos you meet in battle.

Sometimes chocobos are mean enough to attack you, though. >=O

    Oh, he MEANS mean.

Also, if this is your first time playing through, perhaps to just go it by ear ? ... and once you get New Game+ you could do the whole 100% ordeal ^_^!
