I liked Odin's Zantetsuken in FF8. Also, Anime was pretty awesome in 10, and Zodiark kicked ass in 12

Syldra in V was often more useful than Bahamut, who pretty much holds the monopoly over the "most kickass summon" title. Odin, however, is the most badass for me mainly due to his presentation and mythical significance.

Anima has striking similarities to the evil spirit that attacks the family in the Poltergeist movies, and that amuses me to no end. XD

Anima also reminds me of Unit 01 with the armor off. She also looks like a collaboration between Clive Barker and H.R. Gieger. That's just too much coolness!

NOBODY mentioned Ifrit?! sure, he's not the best of them, but he's been in almost all (if not, all) the final fantasies...SOMEBODY's gotta like him a lot :P also, to clear things up, the FFVII summon is called 'Knights of Round' not 'Knights of THE Round', so when abbreviated it should read 'KoR' ok?

but on this topic, my favourite would probably be bahamut in general, but because everybody's choosing him, i'll go with jumbo cactuar...he was just plain funny (and sorta reminds me of captain falcon ....you know, like, the way he moves?...am i right guys?....guys?....)
