You could've posted a couple more screenshots.. I never took a good look at the GBA version, too.

I've hit a brick wall; trying to do the Goddess Bell cave is nigh impossible with a single character due to enemies being able to Stun you into submission. If you don't get the first turn you're practically screwed. I'll just have to keep attempting it until I get to the top.

Would I be too far behind if I joined in? I just joined the site today...
I wouldn't say so, I remember joining FF1 about halfway through.
and welcome.
I'll have a look later, all the hero portraits show up in some form as part of the ending credits one by one, so I might be able to rip them directly from the game memory for you depending on how it's done Not so sure about other people like Paul or Darth Vader, that might need a replay if you want them ripping
It's FF2 month, not day, feel free to join in whenever you want
Sadly, I can't play this since it's almost exams for me, and because it's not really fun for me. However, once exams are over (12 May), I swear I will play it
warning: i am NOT funny.
Melodies, join us! The more the better!
Ok, so I restarted the game and it's going so much better now.
I get my ass saved by some... Pirate Red Mages?!
I'm not sure being left lying on a stone floor is the best way to recover from nearly-mortal wounds, but whatever you'll say.
Said had I. Yoda should I have you called.
Ok Star Wars fanboys, are the names OK now?
Scott officially becomes the first Final Fantasy dead man ever to return. Too bad he then kicks the bucket for real.
Somehow I'm under the impression I've wandered too far off my path at this point in the game.
Well, to each his own I suppose.
A fireplace, a good book and a warm bed. So cosy I want to stay here. But for the sake of the story, I can't. Being a hero is such a pain sometimes.
The Imperials build swimming pools, they can't be so bad. Or can they?
The Mandatory Mythril Recovery.
Incidentally, I can't understand how people can not love this game. The PSP version (along with, I presume, the PSX and GBA versions) is much more balanced in gameplay than the original, and the story so far is just as good as any other early FF. Bah.
I hate the Dreadnaught. Got all the way to the end and forgot to save Hilda, I was pissed
The Hill Gigas fight surprised me, very hard and it took me ages. Saved outside now, MP is low so I need to get back to a town.
Alright, I'm motivating myself to start this when I get home from work. You'll probably see me around. I'll be the guy whining and asking where I'm supposed to go next after every main plot point.
Edit: Here we go. Leon's name is Loins. Heading back to Gordon with Scott's Ring.

I like the names, oddler.
Oh, it's a fight you want, eh, Hartman?
Damn made up languages. How am I supposed to figure that out? Who am I, the neighbourhood cryptologist?!
Why are they all flippin' the bird at me?

A Rantzien FF playthrough isn't a Rantzien FF playthrough unless Rantzien is present in the pictures.

Didn't that get a bit old towards the end? Either way, I haven't really had time for it, but maybe later.
