I still think Bulletproof, Doctor, and Bodyguard are too many protective roles for the town in a 12 person game.
Let's look back at Psychotic's scheme and try to see what would have happened.
If everything is as they say it is, Psychotic would frame qwerty last night. AK would probably still have been killed, because, remember, Psychotic cannot let Laddy be killed since that would prove his guilt.
So there would be some momentary confusion. Laddy would claim qwerty was scum and Psychotic would claim innocent. But how would Psy know that qwerty is not actually the Miller? I'm assuming ed wouldn't jump in and smurf things up, which is never a guarantee.
So who would that lynch be? Laddy as an insane cop would still hold up. Psychotic would have 'passed' qwerty's test and the town would have ate it all up. My guess is that the lynch in this scenario would be Neo.
It just seems like a risky move for the mafia. Sure it would buy them a couple days but eventually Laddy's sanity would be known and Psychotic would be killed. It makes more sense that Psycho went along with this plan so quickly because he knew he had complete control over the situation. He knew qwerty's role from the start.
