Actually, the reason I enjoyed Crisis Core's script so much was because it wasn't clichéd for a JRPG, especially in handling a relationship. It was unusually straightforward and ceased to play out as a hard-to-get tale from both sides. Zack wanted to be a hero, yes, but his reactions and the way he went about doing so was from a very real standpoint. I mean, what other reason does one have for joining the military? You either want to fight, become a hero, or want to die. I believe that this game heavily focused on human emotion, and it was definitely a tale about hurdles and pitfalls before it was a tale about Genesis and his plot for survival. In my opinion the dialogue brought that out nicely. They set forth their usual morals and didn’t go overboard with it.
But yeah, it's all a matter of opinion. I just wanted to explain where I was coming from with this. I'm glad you enjoyed the review. Thanks.
