Spoony is an actual word, so that phrase isn't really funny to me. But maybe I'm missing something major, context-wise.

On its own, I like the lobster one the most since I used to work at Red Lobster... And they really DO serve them with cheese biscuits and (optionally) mashed potatoes.

But my favorite thing about FF jokes like "Spoony Bard" or "I, Garland, will knock you all down!" is that the translators actually recognize how hallowed they are to us and try to include them in re-releases.

I can't WAIT to hear the spoony bard line in SPOKEN DIALOGUE on the DS!!!
