A girl's propriety to be my wife is perfectly proportional to the length of her hair*. Garnet cut off approximately half her hair, and doing so she halved her Rantzien-wife-suitability and I hope she's devastated about it.
*After her knees, the equation inverses. By the time the hair reaches the floor, the propriety score™ has done the same.
