Cloud. He has a lot of personal problems to overcome before he achieves his true greatness. I like heros like that.
Zack has a simillar name to my dog.... so hes a hero :P

Zach is a better person, but Cloud is a better hero.
When you look at all the hardships Cloud had to go through, and how he overcame them (not the least of which was a life-threatening disease), and how Zack never had to go through any of them, it makes you wonder whether or not Zack would've choked under pressure had he been the one going through those same hardships Cloud went through.
Which is why I say Cloud's the better hero. Zack had it pretty easy.
I say Cloud, he is the Underdog, and I always like the underdog.

Cloud's a little more complex, Zack was made a little giddy in crisis core, i'm going with cloud.
Though Cloud overcomes more issues, I feel many of them are his own personal problems whereas Zack gets dumped on. Zack, to me, is just a more likable character than Cloud and besides, I always prefer tragic heroes over regualar ones.
Though Cloud has the better game...
