    Default Earthworm Jim Revival

    http://kotaku.com/382879/new-earthworm-jim-games-and-cartoons-thanks

So yeah. Not only is there a new Earthworm Jim game in the works, but also a new cartoon series and a movie. The old Earthworm Jim cartoon was awesome.

No specific platform(s) for the game have been announced yet.

As a side note, the first two Earthworm Jim games are slated for release on the Wii Virtual Console.

You got my hopes up until you said the word Wii.

The game has not been confirmed for the Wii. Just VC ports of the Genesis versions of EJ 1 and 2. :P

While I hold the old Earthworm Jim games very close to my heart I can see this new game as a cash in and will probably be out on every system.

Excellent. Glad to see EWJ hasn't been forgotten about. And even if the new game and cartoon suck, at least more people will be able to enjoy the old game on the Virtual Console.

This is good news. I used to really like Earthworm Jim when they still showed it on TV, and the old video game was pretty awesome too.

Considering my username, I'm sure you know I like this idea.

I'm skeptical of things like this though, especially on the "feature film" part, especially considering EWJ hasn't been relevant for like 10 years now (makes me feel old...)

I'd like for it to happen, but here's how I see it: Back in 2000, there were reports that a deal was signed for a Perfect Dark movie and TV show. They just needed to get their resources together to start production.

I'm still waiting for production to start.
    Don't read this.

    Seriously, just don't.

Earthworm Jim is immense in so many ways. I can't wait for another entry into the catalogue.
