I dunno. I feel embarassed to use other people for whatever especially in finding out stuff about someone I like.
I will usually just go and say to a boy 'Um I like you! Please let me get to know you!' or do things to get to know him.

But I would really feel super giddy if someone who liked me tried to get to know me by asking other people about me for him. that would be so cute and cool.
